Java Spring Boot Case Study - Appointment Management System
Build practical Java Spring Boot development skills by designing and implementing an Appointment Management System. This project-based course guides you through building a structured backend, integrating application components, securing requests, managing data persistence, and validating functionality through testing.
You’ll create domain models and service logic, develop RESTful APIs, use JPA for data persistence, and apply Spring Security annotations for secure request handling. You’ll structure a clean MVC-based backend while learning how the core application layers work together.
As you progress, you’ll configure Maven builds and project dependencies, integrate frontend views, connect databases, perform database operations, and review application output. You’ll also use JUnit unit testing to validate key components and application reliability.
Designed for learners who want hands-on experience with Java Spring Boot, this course brings backend development, persistence, security, integration, and testing together in one practical Appointment Management System project. By the end, you’ll be able to build and integrate a structured Spring Boot application and verify its functionality through testing.

Pretty decent overall. The instructor explains most of the concepts clearly, and it was useful to see how controllers, services, and repositories come together in a full project. However, I think the course could benefit from more detail on error handling and validation. Good, but with room for improvement.

This case study breaks down a complete application into manageable pieces. The explanations were simple enough to follow but still covered advanced concepts like API layering, JPA relationships, and DTO mapping. I appreciated that it wasn’t just theory—the project forced me to think about data flow and actual business logic.
